General Queries:

Are dogs allowed?
Although dogs are welcome in our grass car park, outdoor café and plant centre, unfortunately we can't allow them into the fruit fields or play area for hygiene reasons.

How are the strawberries grown?
For 2022: All of our strawberries are now grown on 'table tops' - rows of elevated plants at waist height to an adult. Some are inside polytunnels and some are outdoors, but we no longer grow any in the ground. The 'table tops' make the strawberries much better quality, cleaner and easier to pick without the need for bending over. Toddlers may need assistance in reaching some of the fruit.

Can I eat fruit in the fields?
No, it is not permitted to eat our produce in the fields - it must be paid for before consuming. We also strongly recommend all fruit is thoroughly washed before eating.

Do you take cards?
Yes, we take card payments as well as cash.

What should I wear?
We recommend wearing sturdy shoes in dry conditions and wellies when wet. We open in all weathers so please dress for the occasion. We recommend small children wear trousers to protect their ankles from prickles.

Can I get a pram or wheelchair to the fruit fields?
We're happy for prams and wheelchairs to be taken up to the edges of the fields. The access tracks are a mixture of grass and gravel, so most sturdy prams and wheelchairs can access in dry conditions. If it is wet underfoot, access will depend on the type of pram or wheelchair.

How much can I pick?
You can pick as much or as little as you like, but we ask that you pay for everything you pick.
